Stattdessen macht sich Mika auf den Weg nach Kaltenbach, um ihren geliebten Hengst Ostwind wiederzusehen. Leider ist die Stimmung auf dem Reiterhof nicht gerade gut. Ostwind, der völlig außer Form ist, benimmt sich seltsam, und Kaltenbach steht kurz vor der Pleite. Um dies zu verhindern, will Mika an einem hoch dotierten Turnier teilnehmen und beginnt mit dem Training. Unerwartete Unterstützung erhält sie dabei von dem attraktiven Pferdefachmann Milan.
