The First Slam Dunk

Verfolgt von dem tragischen Verlust seines älteren Bruders, kämpft Miyagi Ryota (Stimme im Original: Shugo Nakamura), ein Teenager aus Okinawa, Japan, mit Fragen nach dem Selbstwert und dem Sinn des Lebens, während er sich in Basketball vertieft, dem Sport, für den er und sein Bruder eine Leidenschaft teilten. Ryota und seine Mannschaftskameraden von der Shohoku High School gelten als Außenseiter und nehmen es auf ihrer Suche nach Anerkennung und Ruhm tapfer mit einer viel talentierteren Mannschaft auf. Shohoku's “speedster” and point guard, Ryota Miyagi, always plays with brains and lightning speed, running circles around his opponents while feigning composure. In his second year of high school, Ryota plays with the Shohoku High School basketball team along with Sakuragi, Rukawa, Akagi, and Mitsui as they take the stage at the Inter-High School National Championship. And now, they are on the brink of challenging the reigning champions, Sannoh Kogyo High School.
