Das Sequel von Dwight H. Littles B-Turnierkampfactioner von 2010 ist die zweite Realverfilmung des Namco-Videospielklassikers. Der Thailänder Wych Kaosayananda ("Ballistic") setzt statt auf ein Martial-Arts-Dauer-Gefecht im "Bloodsport"-Käfig auf sporadische Fights meist in kostensparender Nacht und einen verhalten-unspektakulären Thriller um einen Mann auf der Suche nach seiner Erinnerung. Kane Kosugi ist dem Kampfkunstfan aus "D.O.A. - Dead or Alive" ein Begriff, Rade Serbedzija ("96 Hours 2") der routinierte Bösewicht mit Balkan-Visage.
