Friends with Better Lives

In der Comedy Friends with Better Lives geht es um eine Gruppe von Freunden im Alter zwischen 30 und 39 Jahren (thirtysomethings), die glauben, dem jeweils anderen gehe es stets besser. James Van Der Beek („Dawsons Creek“, „Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23“) übernimmt die Rolle von Will. Der Gynäkologe entwickelt nach einer Affäre und der darauf folgenden Scheidung von seiner Ehefrau eine etwas depressive Lebenseinstellung. Kevin Connolly („Entourage“) spielt die Rolle von Bobby Lutz, ebenfalls Gynäkologe und dem besten Freund von Hauptfigur Will. Brooklyn Decker („New Girl“, „The League“) schlüpft in die Rolle von Jules, einem ehemaligem Model. Sie wurde mit 13 in einem Einkaufszentrum entdeckt. Außerdem gilt sie als offen und wünscht allen anderen um sich herum immer nur das Beste. Zoe Lister Jones („Whitney“) mimt die wetteifernde und narzisstische Kate, die unheimlich erfolgreich in ihrem Job, aber in romantischen Dingen eine absolute Chaotin ist. Majandra Delfino stellt Andi dar, eine attraktive und verletzliche Mutter eines Säuglings und von dreijährigen Zwillingen, die mit Bobby verheiratet und mit Jules und Kate befreundet ist.

Friends with Better Lives is a romantic comedy about six friends at different stages in their lives - married, divorced, newly engaged and single - who are outwardly happy, but secretly questioning if their friends have it better. Andi and Bobby are happily married with two kids but at times long for the days they had less responsibility and more fun; Will is newly single and preaching the bachelor lifestyle, but still pining for his ex-wife; Jules and Lowell are high on their passionate new relationship; and Kate has a successful career but may take a swan dive into the L.A. River when she finds out her last remaining single friend, Jules, just got engaged. When it comes to relationships, these six friends are finding it a challenge to look at each other without wondering... who really has the better life?
